Workshops: Next Generation Craft Vendor Program
Starting on October 18, 2015, we're offering a non-profit program to youth (10 - 17 years old) and the residents of Rubidge Retirement Residence to learn how to make sellable items as well as learn how to sell them at events (craft shows, farmers' markets, etc.). They'll also have a free spot in our craft shows to sell their creations if they wish.
The maximum charge will be $10 per child per 3 workshops to help cover expenses, but this subsidized charge will as often as possible be reduced by fundraising, up to 100%. All funds raised will be used to reduce the fee. Excess funds raised will be used to cover expenses. The students will not be asked to participate in the fundraising, but they're welcome to do so if they wish.
Workshops will be on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 2 pm.
Workshops will be 30 - 60 minutes, depending on the craft to be learned. The location will be at the Rubidge Retirement Residence (our sponsor) in Peterborough.
Registration is now available. Please send your email money transfer to ptbocrafts @ gmail.com and set the password as nextgen. Or, pay by cash in East City (by appointment). This program is volunteer-run by us and sponsored by Rubidge Retirement Residence.
