"Every Christmas many families, women, and men go hungry. But for one day, they don't. I and my team of other volunteers prepare a community dinner for anyone in Peterborough who'd enjoy a hot meal. We do this purely out of the love we have for the unfortunate residents of this loving community. We can't do it alone though. We need your help. On Sept 12, 30 Craft Market will be accepting donations of food at the library downstairs. If you can spare it, please bring a non-perishable item, canned goods, vegetables, bag of potatoes or rice, a box of cookies ... Whatever you can spare will be very much appreciated, and will help make an underprivileged person's Christmas more pleasant.
Thank you for your consideration,
Kathi Curtin". Please drop off your food donation beside the greeters' table at the show. Thank you! You do not have to shop to donate.
Starting in October, we're offering a non-profit program to youth (10 - 17 years old) to learn how to make sellable items as well as learn how to sell them at events (craft shows, farmers' markets, etc.). They'll also have a free spot in our craft shows to sell their creations if they wish.
All funds raised will be used to cover expenses. Please donate whatever you can at our shows. Even 25 cents would be useful!
Great news! Rubidge Retirement Residence in Peterborough is sponsoring our artisan and craft fairs in 2015 and 2016!
